| Welcome! I created this page as an effort to answer the most frequently asked questions i receive and to give general tips on how to complete a smooth eBay transaction. Some of the tips below will work well with other sellers also.
The sections below will explain types of payments i accept (hold periods, etc.), packaging/shipping methods as well as feedback and non paying bidder policies.
If you have any further questions, feel free to email, call or write. Communication is the key to completing successful transactions.

| BEGINNING |
| Q. What should i do before i bid? |
A. Read the entire auction description, including the Terms of Sale (accepted payments, shipping, etc.) and view all photos. The photos will give a clearer picture (no pun intended) of the condition of the item. Ask any questions you may have by clicking on the "ask seller a question" link.
|
| AUCTIONS END |
| Q. What should i expect at the end of the auction? |
A. When the auction has ended, i will send an email requesting your name and mailing address. Your item will be packaged and weighed using digital scales. The total cost and tracking number including all payment informaton will be emailed to you. Payment should be made within 10 days.
|
| PAYMENTS |
| Q. Do you accept Personal Check payments? |
A. Yes. My bank holds ALL Personal/Business Check payments for 10 business days (sometimes longer). If you pay via Personal/Business Check, be prepared to wait approximately three weeks for your item.
- The time it takes for the payment to be sent from you to me - normally 3-7 days
- 10 business days from the day i cash the check - 10 business days
- The time it takes for the item to be sent from me to you - normally 3-7 days
If you need your item quickly, or you do not wish to wait, please pay via PayPal, Money Order or Cashiers Check.
|
| Q. What type of payments do you accept? |
A. Unless stated otherwise in the auction description, i accept PayPal (preferred), Money Order/Cashiers Check and Personal Check. Items paid for with a Personal Check will be held for at least 10 business days - see Do you accept Personal Check payments?
|
| Q. Do i need to include anything with my payment? |
A. YES! Please print the "total email" that you received at auctions end. At the very least, you should include the following information:
- Item number/Description
- Name
- Mailing address
- Email address
Note: Phone number is optional. If an unexpected problem arises, a phone number will make things alot easier.
|
| Q. Do i need to fill out the Money Order? |
A. YES! If the worst happens, and a blank Money Order falls into the wrong hands, it can be cashed or deposited by the person who fills in the blanks. Think of it as a blank check.
|
| PACKAGING/SHIPPING/INSURANCE |
| Q. How much is shipping - no costs are listed? |
A. Shipping costs are the exact costs (as close as i can get) from my city/zip code to your city/zip code. Digital scales are used to figure the shipping costs and 99.9% of the time, the costs are exact. I do not add any type of handling/packaging fee to the shipping costs. I do not attempt to profit from the shipping costs.
|
| Q. What method of shipping do you use? |
A. In normal situations, smaller/lighter items are shipped via USPS. Heavier/larger items are shipped via UPS.
|
| Q. Do you automatically add insurance to the shipping costs? |
A. UPS packages are insured for the high bid amount. USPS packages are only insured if the buyer requests insurance.
|
| Q. Do you track packages? |
A. Yes. Each and every package will be tracked and the tracking number will be provided to you via email. UPS automatically assigns a tracking number to each individual package. Items shipped via USPS are tracked via Delivery Confirmation.
|
| Q. How often do you ship? |
A. In normal situations, i ship every day - Monday through Friday. After a clear payment has been received, your item will be shipped the following business day. UPS packages are "scheduled pickups" and this may add an additional day.
|
| Q. What type of packaging do you use? |
A. All items are packaged in cardboard boxes and bubble envelopes. Depending on the weight/type of item, padding will consist of peanuts, bubble wrap or wadded newspaper. The utmost care is taken during packaging to ensure you receive your item unbroken and in tact.
|
| Q. What happens if my item is damaged during transit? |
A. If your package was shipped via UPS, contact me immediately and i will file the appropriate insurance forms. If your package was shipped via USPS - did you request insurance? If so, contact me immediately and i will assist you in filing the insurance claim.
|
| FEEDBACK/NON PAYING BIDDERS |
| Q. Will you work with me to resolve any problems? |
| A. YES! I believe there is a resolution to every problem. First of all, i do my best to give a honest representation of the item in the auction description - explaining any defects that i might find. A defect can include scratches, chips, cracks, defective power cords, etc. I am human and there are times i may miss something - this is not on purpose! I am not an expert on every item i sell and you may know what i need to look for. It is important that you ask all questions before bidding.
If there is a problem after the transaction has been completed, please contact me before leaving negative feedback. I take full responsibility for the auction description i created. If i have grossly misrepresented the item i will make it right.
|
| Q. What is your return policy? |
| A. Basically, all items are sold as is. All auctions are scheduled for at least seven days and this is plenty of time for the buyer to ask any questions about the item they may have.
If i have grossly misrepresented the item i will make it right. Misrepresentation will include:
- Stating an item works, when it clearly never has worked
- Failing to describe a major defect that renders the item unusable
- Stating an item is one thing and then shipping another
Misrepresentation does not include:
- Minor scratching or normal surface wear
- General overall condition which is "normal wear and tear"
One thing to keep in mind is, the condition is one person's opinion. Communication is the key and the buyer should ask any and all questions they may have.
|
| Q. What can i expect if i don't pay for my item? |
| A. If no payment has been received in 14 calendar days, you will receive a Late Payment Notice from me. This notice is to remind you of your obligations as it is possible circumstances did not allow you to pay in a timely manner. This notice will give you the opportunity to email me and let me know the status before the transaction is reported to eBay.
If no response is received, i will report the transaction to eBay as an Unpaid Item Dispute.
After an additional 7 calendar days, if no response is received, i will close the Unpaid Item Dispute and the buyer will receive 1 strike from eBay. After 3 strikes, eBay will ban the buyer from using eBay.
Non paying bidders waste my time and i do not like filing Unpaid Item Disputes. In short, if you want the item and will complete the transaction, i welcome your bid.
